John Edwards has more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry, including 15 years in key executive positions for high-growth companies.


This experience includes serving as Executive Vice President of Novell, where he led the marketing team through the growth years of the 80’s and 90’s, and President of Digital Research, where he championed the product DR-DOS. He was also the founder, Chairman and CEO of I-Link Corporation, leading the first-ever delivery of enhanced Voice-over-IP technology to the market.


After leading I-Link as a public entity (NASDAQ: ilnk), he co-founded Move Networks with his partner, Drew Major. Move Networks broadcasts full episode live and on-demand TV shows for large customers such as ABC, Fox, the CW, ESPN 360 and Televisa. Move’s HD quality has earned international praise. Move Networks’ solution is also used to broadcast Move Networks’ investors include Disney, Cisco, Microsoft, and Televisa. Move Networks has been named a Red Herring 100 Global Winner, an On-Hollywood 100 Winner, an On-Media 100 Winner, and a Tech Crunchie Finalist.

Most recently, Mr. Edwards was awarded the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 Award in the Technology category in the Utah Region, and was one of four national finalists in the Emerging category for the Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He was inducted into the International Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame in 2008. Additionally, Edwards was named as one of 12 Streaming Media All Stars, 2009 by Streaming Media Magazine.

Edwards received a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Arizona State University. He lives in Utah with his wife, Shawna. Together they have four sons, one daughter and 2 grandsons. John and Shawna just sent their youngest son on a mission for the LDS Church. They are now officially “empty nesters.”
